Hello, and welcome to my blog. I am an appreciator of cultures and have been blessed to have lived among enough of them to speak a few languages. I enjoy being an urbanite in Singapore with my husband and 3 kids. I was raised in Venezuela where my love of cachapas con queso de mano and a good jugo de parchita began. My husband grew up in India and Thailand, and we have raised our kids in Indonesia and Singapore. We have all 5 seen our share of airplanes, which at times have felt like our second home. I have seen firsthand that life can be lived many different ways, and I think life is so much better with friends with a variety of perspectives. Without friends, I would have never learned to appreciate durian, salsa music, kalamata olives with hummus, a big bite of kimchee, grilled fish next to the beaches of North Sumatra, nor a good Singaporean chili crab. The flavors of the world have given me a hunger to taste and see more while I learn how different people think and live, one savory conversation at a time.
